Fellows representing 60 countries visited the headquarters to discuss foreign partner engagements and relations across the Indo-Pacific. They also look to increase their knowledge on the USINDOPACOM mission and understand regional security threats.

Since 1985, NDU has been educating international leaders from over 150 countries. Graduates join a worldwide network of military, government, business, and community leaders aiming to inform national strategy and globally integrated operations, in order to prevail in war, peace, and competition.

USINDOPACOM is committed to enhancing stability in the Indo-Pacific region by promoting security cooperation, encouraging peaceful development, responding to contingencies, deterring aggression and, when necessary, prevailing in conflict.

A group of foreign fellows from the National Defense University recently visited the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command in Hawaii. This visit aimed to strengthen international military relationships and enhance understanding of regional security challenges.

During their time at the command, the fellows participated in briefings and discussions led by senior military leaders. They explored various topics, including strategic partnerships, regional stability, and humanitarian assistance efforts. The exchange of ideas allowed participants to share their perspectives on security issues affecting the Indo-Pacific region.

The visit also included a tour of key facilities, showcasing the command’s capabilities and operations. The fellows expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn about the U.S. military’s role in promoting peace and security in the area.

This engagement highlights the importance of collaboration among nations in addressing common challenges. By fostering relationships through educational programs, the U.S. aims to build a network of informed leaders who can work together for a safer future.
