Japan and European Union on Friday entered their first security and defense partnership for the Indo-Pacific region, expanding cooperation on cybersecurity and defense equipment.
Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya and his EU counterpart Josep Borrell announced the partnership during their first strategic dialogue in Tokyo.
