Supporters of Yoon Suk Yeol gathered near the impeached South Korean president’s residence on Thursday, with corruption investigators vowing to arrest the suspended leader under a court-approved warrant for alleged insurrection related to his brief declaration of martial law early last month.
Yoon has been suspended from duty since National Assembly lawmakers impeached him from office on Dec. 14 over the Dec. 3 move. The Constitutional Court has begun adjudicating whether to uphold or reject the legislative action in a process that can last about six months.
