The 158th Fighter Wing, also known as the “Green Mountain Boys,” participated in Cope North 25, an annual multinational exercise held in the Pacific region. Cope North is a large-scale training event designed to enhance interoperability among allied air forces, improve combat readiness, and strengthen relationships between participating nations.

During the exercise, the 158th Fighter Wing showcased its capabilities with the F-35A Lightning II, engaging in complex air operations, including air-to-air and air-to-ground missions. The event provided an opportunity for the Green Mountain Boys to collaborate with allied forces, such as the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF), the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and other U.S. military units, in scenarios that simulated real-world combat environments.

The participation of the 158th Fighter Wing in Cope North 25 highlights its commitment to maintaining global security and its ability to operate effectively in joint and coalition settings. This involvement not only reinforces the Wing’s operational proficiency but also strengthens the strategic partnerships critical to ensuring peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
